A Boston Marriott Long Wharf Wedding with Boston Premier

Sofia and Matt’s waterfront celebration, from cocktail-hour jazz to a packed dance floor

A beautiful Boston waterfront setting. A room full of people ready to celebrate. And Sofia and Matt, surrounded by 180 of their favorite guests.

Boston Premier joined the newlyweds at Boston Marriott Long Wharf with our Jazz Trio for cocktail hour and our 9-piece band for the reception. From the relaxed opening of the evening to a dance floor filled with family and friends, live music helped set the mood for each part of their celebration.

An elegant setting with a distinctly Boston backdrop

Sofia and Matt’s wedding paired the character of Boston’s waterfront with thoughtful, personal details. Their wedding party wore navy and black, with white bouquets that stood out beautifully against the harbor backdrop.

Inside, white flowers and cascading greenery framed the sweetheart table. Gold chairs, navy accents, and warm lighting brought everything together. It was an elegant setting for dinner, with an entirely different kind of excitement waiting on the dance floor.

Cocktail-hour jazz to start the celebration

Our Jazz Trio performed during cocktail hour, providing a relaxed musical backdrop as guests gathered, enjoyed drinks, and caught up with one another.

We love this contrast in a wedding evening. A smaller ensemble gives cocktail hour its own atmosphere while leaving room for conversation. When it’s time for the reception, the full band brings a bigger sound and a fresh burst of energy.

For Sofia and Matt, that meant moving from the intimacy of the trio to the vocals, horns, and driving rhythm of our 9-piece band.

Nine musicians and a crowd ready to dance

The reception photos tell this part of the story beautifully: couples dancing together, friends gathering close to the band, and smiles stretching across the room.

With 180 guests celebrating, the dance floor became a meeting place for generations. Some held each other close. Others brought their biggest moves right up to the musicians. Those different personalities sharing the same floor are what make a wedding feel so personal and so much fun.

Our 9-piece band brought the musical range and energy to meet that crowd, with powerful vocals, a full horn section, and a rhythm section that kept the celebration moving.

Sofia and Matt gave us a wonderful room to play for, and their guests gave that energy right back.
