Boston Premier is grateful to do what we do for so many incredibly cool couples at beautiful venues throughout New England.
For more than three decades, I’ve had the privilege of performing at weddings and celebrations throughout Boston and New England. And after all these years, there is still something pretty special about looking out from the stage and seeing a packed dance floor filled with family and friends celebrating two people on one of the biggest nights of their lives.
That never gets old.
I’ve also learned that creating a truly great wedding experience involves much more than putting talented musicians on a stage. It’s about getting to know our couples, understanding what matters to them, preparing for the details, and being ready for all those little moments that can never be completely planned.
That philosophy is at the heart of Boston Premier.
How Boston Premier Began
I officially launched Boston Premier in January 2005, but my life as a musician and entertainer began many years earlier.
When I created Boston Premier, I wanted to build the kind of band I would want at my own celebration. Incredible musicians, absolutely. But just as important to me was having a group of people who genuinely cared about the couples we were performing for.
I wanted consistency. I wanted professionalism. I wanted couples to know who they were hiring and to feel comfortable knowing that the people they had been watching in our videos and getting to know throughout the planning process were the people who would show up for them on their wedding day.
Boston Premier was built around that idea.
Rather than operating multiple interchangeable versions of the band, we maintain a consistent group of professional musicians who know one another, perform together regularly, and genuinely enjoy making music together.
That chemistry matters.
We’re not simply a collection of talented musicians assembled for a wedding. We’re a band in the traditional sense of the word. Many of us have performed together for years, and when we step onto the stage, that familiarity becomes part of the energy our couples and their guests experience.
Personally Involved From Planning to Performance
One of my favorite parts of what I do happens long before we play the first note. I get to know our couples, hear what they have planned, learn what matters most to them, and help shape the flow of the celebration.
Some couples come to me with every detail mapped out. Others simply know they want an incredible party and need some guidance getting there. Either way, I'm personally involved throughout the planning process.
And when your wedding day arrives, I'm there. I'm not handing your plans over to someone you've never met. I'll be on stage playing bass and singing with the band, while also working behind the scenes with your planner, venue, photographer, and wedding team to help keep everything moving.
Experience You Can Lean On
After more than three decades of weddings, I've learned that no two celebrations ever unfold exactly the same way. Timelines change. Speeches run long. Weather has other ideas. And sometimes the dance floor catches fire earlier than anyone expected and the best decision is simply to let the party happen.
That's where experience matters.
It's knowing when to make an adjustment, when to communicate with the wedding team, and when to simply get out of the way of a great moment.
I've performed at celebrations throughout Boston, Cape Cod, Newport, Connecticut, Nantucket, Block Island, and across New England. From historic ballrooms and waterfront venues to private estates, country clubs, tents, and island weddings, every one of those experiences has taught me something that I carry into the next celebration.
What Still Matters Most
Even after all these years, I still get excited about this.
There's something pretty incredible about standing on stage, looking across a packed dance floor, and realizing that we're right in the middle of a memory this couple and their families will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
That’s why Boston Premier has always been about more than playing great music. It’s about the people who trust us with one of the biggest celebrations of their lives. We come prepared, we surround ourselves with exceptional musicians, and when we step onto that stage, we give everything we have to that couple and their guests. After all these years, I still consider it an incredible privilege to be part of a day that will be remembered for a lifetime.
When your wedding day finally arrives, I want you to be able to enjoy it. Be with your family, celebrate with your friends, fill the dance floor, and take it all in. We’ll be there to make sure the music and the celebration live up to everything you imagined.
