Women's Resouce Center Gala

On Friday, April 27th, the Woman's Resource Center held its high-profile event of the year at Gurney's Resort & Marina in Newport, RI. It was a wonderful evening that brought out over 300 sponsors and volunteers to honor some special people in their community. The Boston Premier Band gave them a night to remember!

The event opened with a silent auction in a room adjacent to the main ballroom. Once the doors opened, the band welcomed everyone in and set the mood with an upbeat number from the Motown era. As guests found their way to their assigned tables, the timing was right to invite them up to dance to a classic favorite, "At Last" by Etta James. For the next hour, we had many of the attendees dancing and having a wonderful time as they celebrated the organization's accomplishments.

At approximately 7:30 pm, the live auction began followed by dinner and a special recognition ceremony for those special men of the community who make a remarkable difference to their cause.

At the conclusion of the formalities, the band came back to the stage at 9:00 pm and played straight through to 10:30 pm. We gave them an energetic performance that packed the dance floor with guests of all ages. It was an upbeat, exciting atmosphere with great music that everyone connected with.
